Poverty’s Pets’ dogs most often are rescued from the streets in low income areas of Phoenix and/or bad situations that we find them in. Upon intake we address their medical needs; brining them current on vaccinations, spay/neutering, caring for any wounds and/or treating them for infections or viruses.

Some of our animals come to us in good health and need minimum medical attention. Others require extensive treatment, many visits to the vet and special foster care arrangements.

Poverty’s Pets houses all of our dogs in foster care. Our dogs live indoor/outdoor, are socialized with other dogs and treated like family members.

We are always looking for good foster homes! Please contact Kate or Kim if you are interested in helping us help a rescue dog with no where to live.

Our organization is unable to take in dogs from the public.
