Tributes - our paths crossed, just a moment too late! PDF Print E-mail

TankTank

We found you in  a state of starvation. Your  little 6lb body had a heart 3 times that weight.  You fought hard and you took a piece of us with you when you lost your battle.  We wish our paths crossed sooner little Tank.  We are grateful you are not suffering anymore and experienced love in your final weeks.  You are our little angle looking over the furry friends we care for now.

We found you roaming in the streets with a 40lb chain draped to your neck.  You were skinny and nervous.  We were so excited to bath you, to love you, to find you a better life.  We were so sad and shocked to learn that your body had endured enough prior to coming into our care.  You were a gentle giant.  You deserved better Hercules. You were a tender soul.

Oh did we celebrate when we finally caught you.   We were so looking forward to seeing you get well and experience happiness.  You were beautiful.  We just couldn’t wait to see you trust, to love, to wag that tail.  Our hearts were broken when you went to sleep and simply did not wake up.  Who knows what you had endured prior to resting your head in our safe home.  We find comfort in knowing you had a full tummy and a comfortable bed during your last hours.

You were just a little puppy.  You would have been a beautiful doggie.  Your little body was raging with distemper.  We were so grateful that our paths crossed and your suffering did not go a day longer.  Allowing you to go to heaven was easy, you asked us to end your suffering.  You were a sweet little puppy.

WigglesWiggles

Your name was perfect;  your tail was so busy wiggling.  Your illness and quick death took us by surprise and took our hearts.  You were a healthy, happy little pup while in our care.  We were looking forward to finding you the perfect home.  You were adorable, loved the tennis ball, loved to chew on your bone.  Parvo illness came so fast and took you from us. You were on the road to being one special pooch. We miss you but find comfort knowing how much you were loved.

You taught us about the brutal dog disease ~ Distemper. It was our second exposure to the disease. We found you lying in the middle of the street. You were scared and tired. We gave you a soft bed to sleep in and loved you like one of our own pets. We fought distemper night and day so you could know a life beyond the streets for more than the 2 months we had you. You never gave up the fight, but distemper won the battle. We are happy you died at peace and in the arms of people that loved you.

Felix

FelixWe tried to place you in a loving home where you would have continued care and a nice scratching post.  However, you kept going back to the place where we had found you.  You lived your life outside where nice people went out of their way to give you your two cans of friskies everyday for many years.  You were a clever cat who always had a story to tell.  We will never forget your meow.  Rest in peace Felix.  You are the real Felix the Cat in our hearts.

Tom Cat

A victim of cowardly animal cruelty, we had reason to believe the worst was over for you. We had already found a loving home for you. You were on the road to recovery but your injuries were too much for your weakened body. You were a victim of such cruelty. We are grateful you died in loving hands. We will never forget you Mr. Tom. You were such a talker. Our hearts still break for you.
• We have chosen not to post a picture of Mr. Tom as all are very gruesome. He was beautiful
